Last night a snow storm moved into the province of Saskatchewan, by Noon today a full scale blizzard was blowing through the city of Saskatoon. All highways in and out of Saskatoon had been closded since early morning but at Noon they actually started closing roads in the city, then they started closing down bridges and finally no travel in or around the city was recommended. We left work at 2:15pm ended up taking refuge at a friends and finally got home at 9:30pm. The city looks like a war zone with cars stranded in ditches, on side walks, and in the middle of the road. I promise to write more about our experience and will post a few pics that I managed to capture on my cell
