I have been awarded my first Blog award - Thanks to my friend Fliss http://flissandmikeadventures.blogspot.com/
Blogging with a Purpose - I began my blog for my family and friends around the world, to keep them up to date with everything that happens in our lives. Living so far away from everyone is hard but with a blog it helps us feel a little bit closer.
Blogging took on an additional purpose for me when Rowan and I started our journey to China to adopt our baby girl. It became a support channel for all my new friends that I have met through our agency, our yahoo groups, RQ and from other other blogs. It became a way for me to recieve and provide support from/for all the families waiting to go, on their journeys and for those that have gone before us. Their blogs have been our Red Thread connection to China.
Thank you for this award Fliss, your blog provides so much inspiration, laughter and support.
I follow MANY families and EVERYONE'S blog means so much to me, it is hard to narrow it down to 5.....so I am going to pick 5 families that have "BTDT" who traveled before us. Some of these families had just traveled when we just started our paperchase, some traveled while we were waiting paitently to be out of the review room, and some traveled as we have waited anxiously to receive our referral, all along providing us with inspiration, support, laughter and good advise:

Hey there... you are welcome... you made some good choices too... chances are I won't be 'talking' to you before the 18th and so have the best time away and will catch up when I can on my travels... love and safe trip to you both... oh... and big hugs and kisses to Adia for me... take care
thanks for the nomination! i can't wait to follow you guys into parenthood through your blog. Adia is so beautiful! I hope you have a wonderful trip. Take lots of pictures and TRY to journal. I read over my journal from China often (it is really short and stops pretty much on gotcha day...but it is precious to me!)
Your life is about to get crazy fun!
